Kathmandu. The National Examination Board (NEB) has mandated CCTV surveillance and security supervision for the evaluation of Secondary Education Examination (SEE) answer sheets across the country.
According to Laxmi Marasini, Information Officer at the Office of the Controller of the Examinations (OCE), answer sheets of Grade 10 are currently being evaluated at designated centers under strict monitoring. She stated that while some remote centers lack CCTV infrastructure, alternative arrangements have been made, including continuous supervision by the police personnel.
Preparations are underway to publish the SEE results by mid-April. Marasini stated that the evaluation process began immediately after the completion of each subject exam to ensure timely publication. The government had earlier directed the NEB to release the results within a month of the examinations.
The SEE examination, which began on April 2, is scheduled to conclude on 12th Apri, 2026.
Unlike previous years, when answer sheets were transported to centralized centers in different districts for evaluation, this year the process is being conducted at the same centers where the examinations are held. Officials say this decentralized approach has led to an expansion of monitoring measures, with CCTV surveillance and on-site security now made mandatory.
The NEB believes that enhanced monitoring will help ensure greater transparency and accountability in the evaluation process.
