Code for Nepal and Techpana Partner for Data Fellowship 2026, Offering Free AI and Data Science Training to 1,000 Nepalese

Kathmandu. Code for Nepal has announced applications for its Data Fellowship 2026, a program that will provide free training in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to at least 1,000 Nepalese in partnership with Techpana.

As part of the fellowship, selected participants will receive free, unlimited access to premium courses on the global online learning platform DataCamp for a year. The subscription, which normally costs 330 US dollars (around Rs 44,000) per user annually, will be provided at no cost through DataCamp's DataCamp Donates initiative.

According to Code for Nepal, it has been working with DataCamp since 2021 to expand access to data and AI education in Nepal. The organization says the partnership has brought more than Rs 50 million worth of in-kind support to Nepal's technology sector and has already helped over 3,000 Nepalese develop AI and data-related skills.

To expand the fellowship's reach, particularly among young people in remote parts of the country, Code for Nepal has partnered with Nepal's technology-focused digital media platform, Techpana.

Code for Nepal founder Ravi Kumar said digital and technical skills are essential if Nepal is to achieve its goal of becoming a digital hub. He said the organization is pleased to have contributed to the country's digital transformation by creating learning opportunities for thousands of Nepalis while bringing significant international support to the sector.

According to the organization, alumni of previous fellowship cohorts have secured jobs at technology companies, including CloudFactory, while others have gone on to pursue higher education with full scholarships at universities in the United States and other countries.

Techpana CEO Bijay Timilsina said the partnership would help strengthen the technical capabilities of the people of Nepal on a large scale and expand access to quality learning opportunities across the country.

People interested in building careers in technology, data analytics, and artificial intelligence are eligible to apply for the fellowship.
