Kathmandu: For the first time, a national-level hackathon is being organized in Jhapa. The Developer Association Jhapa is hosting the event titled ‘PUBG – Programmers Underground Battleground’ in Birtamod from July 31 to August 2.
According to the organizers, the hackathon will run as a 36-hour nonstop competition of coding, creativity, and collaboration, aiming to bring together tech enthusiasts and emerging developers from across Nepal.
Abiral Acharya, one of the organizers and a BCA student at Mechi Multiple Campus, called it a major milestone for Jhapa’s tech community.
Interested participants can register their ‘squad’ (team) here. The theme of the hackathon will only be announced at the start of the event. The competition follows an elimination format, where only a few teams will make it to the final round.
Acharya said the goal is to give local talent a national platform, while also inspiring and empowering them.
With the slogan ‘Let’s Code, Create and Connect’, the organizers have invited all innovators to take part.
