Admissions Open for B.Tech Programs Including IT Engineering and AI at Lumbini Technical University

Kathmandu: Lumbini Technical University has opened entrance applications for various B.Tech programs. The university’s Institute of Engineering and Information Technology has announced the undergraduate admission process for the new academic session.

Admissions are open for Civil Engineering, IT Engineering, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Information Technology under the B.Tech program. Each program has 48 seats. Students can apply online from July 27 to August 20. [Click here to apply]

According to the university, students applying for Civil and IT Engineering must have completed Class 12 or a diploma in engineering. They must have secured at least 45 percent or a minimum ‘C’ grade in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. A-level students must have achieved a minimum of 45 percent or at least a ‘D’ grade in each subject.

For the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence program, applicants must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from the National Examination Board (NEB) or an equivalent board and must have obtained at least a ‘C’ grade. For the Information Technology program, applicants must have passed Class 12 from NEB or an equivalent board with a minimum of a ‘D’ grade.

The application fee is Rs 2,000 for Engineering programs and Rs 1,500 for other programs. Late applications will be accepted from Bhadra 6 to Bhadra 9, with fees of Rs 3,000 for Engineering and Rs 2,500 for other programs.

The university has stated that students who have not yet received their Class 12 results but have passed Class 11 may also apply. However, they must submit their Class 12 marksheet at the time of admission. The entrance exam date will be announced later.
