Kathmandu: Nepali information technology company Biz Serve IT has officially been recognized as a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), a global body formed by the world’s leading payment card companies.
With this recognition, BizServ is now authorized to conduct compliance assessments for the globally recognized Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) in Nepal.
The PCI SSC, established by major payment providers including American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and JCB, is responsible for creating and overseeing the security standards that protect cardholder data during payment card transactions. To earn QSA status, a company must meet rigorous requirements for technical expertise, organizational structure, and professional integrity.
With this milestone, Biz Serve IT joins the ranks of companies in fewer than 50 countries worldwide authorized to carry out PCI DSS assessments.
Biz Serve, which has been active in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) under the domain of Information Security since 2013, described this recognition as a major step forward for Nepal’s cybersecurity landscape.
