Google I/O Extended Lite Kathmandu 2025 Targets Developers, Entrepreneurs, Students, and Tech Enthusiasts

Kathmandu: Google I/O Extended Lite Kathmandu 2025 is being held as a major gathering of Nepal’s tech community, bringing the excitement of the global Google I/O event to Kathmandu.

The event will take place on August 23, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at IIMS College, Naxal, Kathmandu. This year’s edition is branded “Lite.” Organizers say it is a special opportunity for anyone interested in technology whether you are a student, developer, entrepreneur, or enthusiast looking to build a career, gain practical knowledge, or connect with peers.

The event aims to help participants learn, connect, and get inspired, contributing to the growth of Nepal’s tech ecosystem. It is designed for developers, entrepreneurs, students, and technology enthusiasts, with a lineup that includes tech talks, workshops, and networking sessions. Participants will learn directly from experts about cutting-edge technologies such as AI, machine learning, and Google Cloud, while also gaining hands-on experience and access to Google Cloud Skill Boost.

This year features an impressive roster of Google Developer Experts (GDEs) and industry leaders. Among them, Kshitij Rimal, founder of NextAI, will deliver a session on “Agents of Change: How GenAI is Rewriting Nepal’s Future.” 

Similarly, Milan Paudyal, AI Engineer at eSewa, will speak on “From Retrieval to Action: Agentic AI with Gemini and SDK.” Amey Nerkar, TEDx speaker and product management expert, along with Namrata Mor, UX Innovator and Product Specialist, will present on “From Fraud Prevention to Personalized Experience: AI Impact on Payments.” 

Other than this, Simar Preet Singh, Software Engineer at Reduptive Inc., will present on “Supercharge Your Development with Firebase Studio.” Nikhilesh Tayal, Google Developer Expert for AI and Co-Founder of AI.ML, will mentor the workshop on Building AI Agents with Self-Managing Memory, while Roshan Khatiwada, IT Security and Cloud Expert, will lead a workshop on GCP Foundation. According to the organizers, each session has been prepared to ensure that participants return with directly useful knowledge.

To participate in the program, registration with a fixed fee is required. The ticket fee is 600 rupees for students and 800 rupees for professionals. Interested participants can register online, though seats are limited.
