Kathmandu: The government has approved software developed by the Ministry of Home Affairs to maintain integrated records of non-profit organizations (NPOs). The system will be linked to the National Identity Card and Registration Department through an API.
A Cabinet meeting on 29 August endorsed the Ministry of Home Affairs’ proposal. Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung informed that the department has approved the necessary integration for the Home Ministry’s software via API.
“Approval has been granted for the portal to connect with the National Identity Card and Registration Department through the Application Programming Interface (API). This will allow the NPO Public Portal, prepared by the Ministry of Home Affairs, to access required details for maintaining integrated records of non-profit organizations operating in Nepal,” Minister Gurung said.
