Kathmandu. DGO, the official digital streaming partner for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Nepal, has introduced an auto-scaling feature aimed at improving streaming stability following recent technical disruptions during live match broadcasts.
The move comes after widespread complaints from viewers who experienced difficulties watching World Cup matches on the platform. The company recently issued a public apology, acknowledging the problems and expressing regret that some users missed key moments of the match between Spain and Saudi Arabia due to technical issues.
In the notice, the DGO team said it understood the frustration and inconvenience faced by viewers and pledged to take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
As part of those efforts, the company has now implemented an auto-scaling technology that automatically adjusts video quality based on a user’s internet speed. According to DGO, this feature is designed to reduce buffering and ensure smoother playback, even on slower internet connections.
The platform also allows users to manually adjust streaming quality through player settings, offering resolutions from 360p up to 1080p (Full HD).
DGO is currently broadcasting all 104 matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026 live in Nepal and offers a World Cup mobile pass priced at Rs 549. The company said it is continuously strengthening its technical infrastructure to provide viewers with Full HD streaming along with Nepali and English commentary.
