All KMC Community Schools To Get Smart Classrooms Before Tihar

Kathmandu: The plan to establish smart classrooms in community schools under Kathmandu Metropolitan City has reached its final stage. So far, 390 smart boards have been installed, and all classrooms are expected to have smart boards before Tihar.

Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) announced on Facebook that 313 additional smart boards have been installed under the latest contract, adding to the 177 installed earlier.

He said the plan had been on hold for the past two years due to various reasons but is now moving toward completion.

According to him, the budget has been released to the concerned schools for installing another 570 smart boards, which will also be completed before Tihar. “A total of 1,060 boards required for 87 schools in the metropolis will be installed before Tihar, completing the transformation of all classrooms into smart classrooms. More than 53,000 community school students will benefit,” Shah said.
