Running and Jumping Robot Dog to Interact With Spectators and Players in NPL Season 2

Kathmandu: An artificial intelligence (AI)-powered robot dog will be featured in Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2, which begins on November 17 at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Presented by Omoda & JAECOO Nepal, the four-legged mechanical dog is expected to be a major attraction for both spectators and players.

According to the company, the robot dog can run, jump, and respond to various voice commands on the ground. Built with advanced technology, it is also equipped with a camera that will allow audiences to experience a live field view from the robot's perspective.

The dynamic mechanical dog has been developed by the Omoda-JAECOO sub-brand of China’s Chery Automobile, and its technology is based on Aimoga Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Omoda-JEC Nepal has also invited viewers to suggest a suitable name for the robot dog.

SPG Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. is the official distributor of Omoda and JAECOO in Nepal. The company currently offers models such as Omoda E5, JEC J5, JEC J6, and iCour in the Nepali market.

Omoda and JAECOO have also announced that they will award one of their premium vehicles to the ‘Man of the Tournament’ winner this season.

Spectators at NPL Season 2 will have the chance to interact directly with the robot dog on the field.
