PAN Now Available Through National ID Linking

Kathmandu: You can now obtain your Personal Permanent Account Number (PAN) by linking it to your national identity card. On Monday, on the occasion of National Tax Day, Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal launched a system that allows individuals to receive their PAN by connecting it to their national identity card.

Starting Monday, a service has also been introduced to provide an online tax payment certificate with a QR code for natural persons who earn up to Rs 4 million and are single employers.

Both the Finance Secretary and the Revenue Secretary have instructed the Inland Revenue Department to improve its information technology system, deliver revenue services through paperless and faceless technology, and control revenue leakage.
