National Youth Council Calls Applications for IT and Startup Awards Under Fiscal Year 2082/83 Program

Kathmandu. The National Youth Council (NYC) under the Ministry of Youth and Sports has announced a special award scheme for information technology (IT) entrepreneurs and startups. The Council has called for applications for IT entrepreneur and startup business awards under its approved annual program for the fiscal year 2082/83.

According to a notice issued by the council, a total of 15 IT and startup businesses will be selected from across the country under this program. The selected businesses will participate in a special exhibition to be organized at the central level. Among them, the top six businesses will each be awarded Rs 2,00,000.

The NYC stated that the program aims to provide a strong platform for the country’s creative young entrepreneurs to showcase their skills and innovations, and to further strengthen the startup ecosystem.

How to participate

Entrepreneurs who have registered and are currently operating an IT or startup business are eligible to apply for this award. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and not exceed 40 years of age by the application deadline.

Eligible young entrepreneurs can submit their applications through the Council’s online portal available on its official website (http://form.nyc.gov.np:81/). The submission deadline is 12:00 midnight on April 24, 2026.

A shortlist will be published from among the applicants. The date and venue of the exhibition will be announced at the time of the shortlist publication, according to a notice issued by the Council’s Deputy Secretary, Tarapati Kharel.
