Government Announces Legal Recognition for International Payment Gateways

Kathmandu. The government has announced plans to provide legal recognition to international payment gateways as part of its policy and programme for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84.

President Ram Chandra Paudel made the announcement on Monday while presenting the government’s annual policy and programme.

According to the government, the move aims to facilitate foreign currency earnings and improve tax management related to international digital transactions.

The policy document also states that laws related to foreign investment will be amended to expand automatic approval routes and encourage investment inflows.
