CTEVT Opens Applications for 480 Full Scholarships in Technical Education, Offers Monthly Stipend

 

Kathmandu. The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) has invited applications for 480 full scholarships in diploma and pre-diploma level technical programs, with selected students also receiving a monthly stipend of Rs 3,500.

According to CTEVT, scholarships have been announced in 26 different technical subjects. Of the total quota, 457 seats are allocated for diploma and certificate-level programs, while 23 seats are reserved for pre-diploma courses.

The scholarship quotas include 80 seats in engineering, 23 in mechanical engineering, 30 in electrical engineering, 30 in information technology, and 21 in automobile engineering. At the pre-diploma level, seven students will receive full scholarships in automobile engineering.

Students selected under the scholarship scheme will be able to pursue their studies free of cost. In addition to the monthly stipend of Rs 3,500, they will receive Rs 2,500 annually for educational materials and uniforms, and Rs 1,500 annually for transportation expenses.

Eligible candidates can apply through CTEVT’s online portal until 11:59 p.m. on July 2.

Applicants must upload required documents, including a citizenship or birth certificate, academic transcripts, and an official recommendation letter.

CTEVT stated that the final selection will be based on a merit list prepared using the average grade points obtained in the SEE or SLC examinations. Students who completed their education in government or community schools will be given priority during the selection process.
