Govt Announces Expansion of High-Speed Internet, Digital, and AI Learning Systems in Education Sector

Kathmandu. The government has announced plans to expand e-learning, virtual classrooms, open digital content, and artificial intelligence (AI)-based learning systems across the country.

President Ram Chandra Paudel shared the information while unveiling the policy and programme for the upcoming fiscal year.

According to the announcement, high-speed internet infrastructure, digital learning content, and AI-based education systems will be expanded in 10,000 community schools to strengthen access to digital education.

The policy and programme also state that higher education will be better aligned with the labour market, along with academic and administrative restructuring of universities to improve efficiency and relevance.
