Southwestern College Announces Free Cybersecurity Orientation for Plus Two Graduates

Kathmandu. Southwestern School of Management and Technology is set to conduct a free orientation program on cybersecurity for students who have recently completed their Grade 12 examinations.
The program will be held at the college premises in Basundhara, Kathmandu, at 11:00 a.m. on 19 June.
According to the college, the session will be facilitated by experts from the IT company Leapfrog Connect. The initiative aims to introduce students to practical, industry-relevant, and future-oriented skills in the field of technology.
The orientation will cover foundational to advanced concepts of cybersecurity, including digital security awareness, emerging threats, and career opportunities in the sector.
In addition, participants will receive introductory knowledge on the Internet of Things (IoT), including how smart systems are developed through connected devices, sensors, and data communication, along with their real-world applications.
The college stated that the program is designed to help students understand both opportunities and challenges in the rapidly growing field of cybersecurity and related technologies.
