NEB Publishes Grade 12 Results, Overall Pass Rate Stands at 64.13 Percent

Kathmandu. The National Examination Board (NEB) has published the results of the Grade 12 examinations for the academic year 2083, with an overall pass rate of 64.13 percent.

The examinations were conducted from April 27 to May 10, and the results were released 39 days later. A total of 418,170 students appeared for the exams, including 332,241 regular students and 85,929 partial examinees.

According to the board, 231,770 regular students, or 69.75 percent, secured grades in all subjects. Similarly, 36,420 students in the partial category, representing 42.38 percent, passed the examinations. In total, 268,190 students received grades in all subjects.

Students dissatisfied with their results can apply online for re-totaling by paying a fee of Rs 1,000 per subject until June 26. The board has also announced that only students who received an NG in a maximum of two subjects or were absent from the examination will be eligible to sit for the supplementary (grade improvement) examination.

The board has arranged multiple methods for students to access their results.

Students can check their results online by visiting the NEB websites result.neb.gov.np or neb.gov.np, as well as Nepal Telecom’s portal neb.ntc.net.np, and entering their symbol number and date of birth.

Results can also be obtained via SMS by typing “NEB” followed by a space and the symbol number and sending it to 1600.

Likewise, students can access their results through Nepal Telecom’s IVR service by dialing 1601 and following the instructions. Results are also available through the USSD service by dialing *1601# and entering the symbol number as prompted.

The board said students will be able to apply for transcripts, migration certificates, and provisional certificates through their schools 15 days after the publication of results, provided they have met the minimum grade requirements in both Grades 11 and 12.
