Sudurpashchim Chief Minister Fined for Riding Bullet Bike Without Helmet After Viral Video

Kathmandu. Sudurpashchim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has been fined for riding a bullet bike without wearing a helmet after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
The District Traffic Police Office, Kailali, issued a traffic ticket to the Chief Minister after officers reviewed the video, which showed him riding a bullet bike inside his residence without a helmet.
The video was posted on TikTok on Tuesday by the Chief Minister's personal secretary, Prayag Khanal, and quickly circulated across social media platforms.
According to Police Inspector Resham Prasad Acharya, chief of the District Traffic Police Office, Kailali, the viral video served as evidence for initiating legal action.
Chief Minister Shah was fined Rs 500 for violating traffic regulations by operating a two-wheeler without a helmet.
During the inspection, Shah admitted that he had breached the traffic rules and accepted the penalty. According to Police Inspector Acharya, the Chief Minister also appreciated the traffic police for enforcing the law impartially.
"Anyone who violates traffic rules should face legal consequences. The Chief Minister acknowledged his mistake and thanked the traffic police for carrying out their duty," Acharya told TechPana.
