Now Search for Jobs in Government, Private, and Non-Government Sectors via Nagarik App

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security is launching a new ‘Job Portal’ to connect job seekers with employers across government, private, and non-government sectors. The portal is being integrated into the Nagarik app, allowing users to search for job opportunities directly from the app.
Currently, the Job Portal is available in beta version through the ministry’s digital platform Shram Sansar. It will offer information not only on domestic job openings but also on foreign employment opportunities.
The ministry is preparing to present a live demo of the portal next Monday, with an official launch expected the same day. Work is underway to fully integrate the service into the Nagarik app.
The Shram Sansar portal will list job vacancies, training programs, and services from government, private, and non-government organizations. Employers and training providers will be able to create accounts and post relevant information, while job seekers will also need to create accounts to apply for jobs.
Employers and service providers will be verified via PAN using API integration, while job seekers will be verified through the Nagarik app and their government-issued ID. The ministry has stated that the service will be free for both employers and workers.
The portal aims to provide accurate data on employment demand and supply, help unemployed youth find jobs more easily, and support evidence-based policy making on labor issues.
Though originally launched in May, Shram Sansar is still in its testing phase. The platform has been developed with the support of Swiss Contact.
In addition to job services, the portal will also collect data on the status, conditions, and challenges faced by Nepalis abroad. It will allow those in need of emergency rescue to request government support. With these features, Shram Sansar aims to serve as a unified digital platform for all labor-related services and information under the ministry.
