Kathmandu: Nebula Energy, the official partner of Gogoro Scooters for Nepal, has launched a buy-back guarantee scheme for electric two-wheelers. The company claims that this scheme, which provides an assured resale value after purchasing the vehicle, will increase customer confidence and support the long-term development of Nepal's electric transportation sector.
The company said that this program launched by Gogoro has been implemented since August 4, 2025. Under this scheme, customers are guaranteed to get a minimum value of one lakh rupees when they return the scooter within five years or 40 thousand kilometers after using the Gogoro scooter.
A major concern for electric vehicle owners is battery degradation, which causes a difference in price when selling an old EV. However, the company says that Gogoro's battery swapping technology has solved this problem. Unlike traditional EVs, Gogoro users do not own the battery, but instead use a smart battery network operated by the company. The company says that Gogoro has been able to guarantee long-term value due to this model.
The company claims that this is the first time in Nepal that such an arrangement has been made in an e-scooter.
In addition, the company has also stated that customers who purchase Gogoro at the Naima Nepal Mobility Expo, which started on Wednesday, will receive various other benefits. The company has launched a Dashain offer through the expo, and a live battery swap demo can also be seen at Gogoro's stall. Along with this, the upgraded Gogoro JEGO scooter is also on display at the stall.
