KP Sharma Oli yet to return Prime Minister’s official social media accounts

Kathmandu:  Outgoing Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has not handed over the official social media accounts of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. The accounts still display Oli’s photos and details.

The Prime Minister’s Office X handle, @PMO_nepal_, which has over 723,000 followers, continues to carry Oli’s photo on both its profile and cover image. The account has remained inactive since September 3, when it last posted about Oli’s return from his visit to China. 10 days ago.

The same situation persists on Facebook. The official page of the Prime Minister’s Office, with around 16,000 followers, also still carries Oli’s photos and outdated information.

There have been no updates on the Instagram and TikTok accounts regarding the new government either. TikTok continues to display Oli’s photo, while Instagram, though showing the Nepali flag as its profile picture, has long been inactive.

Meanwhile, Oli has updated his personal social media accounts, changing his bio to read “Former Prime Minister of Nepal.”
