Kathmandu: Gen-Z leader Sudan Gurung and others others have launched a social media hashtag campaign demanding the arrest of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, accusing them of suppressing the Gen-Z movement.
A poster featuring photos of both Oli and Lekhak has gone viral on social media. It includes hashtags such as #ArrestKPOli, #ArrestRameshLekhak, and #ArrestMurderers. The bottom of the poster reads, “Arrest KP Sharma Oli, Ramesh Lekhak, Murderers.” The post ends with a warning: “Arrest the murderers, or the country will be forced to act on its own.”
After Gurung, who also serves as the coordinator of the organization Hami Nepal, shared the post, it began circulating widely across social media platforms. Earlier, during the Gen-Z uprising on 8 and 9 September, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) had also shared posts using similar hashtags.
