Kathmandu: In recent years, the trend of exploring new places during the Dashain–Tihar holidays has grown significantly. Many people go on treks, hikes, jungle safaris, and other adventure trips with friends and family.
While some have already set out on their journeys, others may have had to cancel due to personal reasons. And for those still planning, knowing the weather and real-time conditions of the destination is often essential.
A YouTube channel called ‘Webcam Nepal’ has made this easier by broadcasting live views from cameras installed across various locations in Nepal. Travelers can use these live feeds to check conditions before visiting, and those unable to travel can still enjoy Nepal’s scenic beauty from home.
The channel, run by Mani Gurung, a Nepali residing in the UK, has been active for over two years and currently has more than 42,700 subscribers. Established in 2018, it first featured videos from the reconstruction inauguration of Dharahara, destroyed in the 1972 earthquake. So far, it has uploaded over 126 videos.

Each live broadcast also displays the hotel’s contact number, allowing viewers to directly inquire for more information.
