Nepal Telecom Launches Free Wi-Fi at All Airports, Starting With Tribhuvan

Kathmandu: Nepal Telecom has started providing free Wi-Fi service at both international and domestic airports across the country. The company has introduced this facility under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, targeting general passengers.
According to the company, the service was officially launched at Tribhuvan International Airport on 28 October. Nepal Telecom’s Managing Director Sabina Maskey and Airport General Manager Hansraj Pandey jointly inaugurated the Wi-Fi service at the international terminal building in the first phase.
The free Wi-Fi coverage extends to the arrival, departure, VIP lounge, and waiting areas of the airport.
An agreement has been signed between Nepal Telecom and the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) to provide free internet service for passengers at three international airports and 34 domestic airports across the country.
Passengers can access the free internet by connecting to the NT-CAAN Free WiFi network available in service areas and following the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
