Information on Driving License Printing Now Available on Department’s Facebook Page

Kathmandu: The Department of Transport Management will now provide updates on the printing of driving licenses through its Facebook page. After the Security Printing Center began printing licenses, the department has shifted to using social media instead of its online system to share distribution updates.

Earlier, after applicants filled out the online form and received approval for essential license printing through the department’s system (applydlnew.dotm.np/login), they would get a notification asking them to collect their license within 72 hours. But after the department’s office and system were destroyed during the Gen-Z movement on 9 September, the department has been providing services on a temporary basis.

The Security Printing Center has now started printing licenses with QR codes. Once printing is complete, the department will publish the details of licenses received for distribution.

If an applicant’s name appears in the published list, they must visit the department with the original revenue receipt. In the case of renewal or category addition, applicants must bring their old driving license as well.
