Kathmandu: Reviews on mobile apps published on Google Play Store usually focus on user experience, problems, or suggestions. However, a sarcastic review posted five years ago on the official Nepal Police mobile app has now gone viral internationally.
The review, which is widely circulating on social media, was written by a user named Pravin Agrawal on June 23, 2021. In the review, he humorously described the experience of police custody while giving the app a five-star rating.
In the review, Agrawal wrote, “ Got arrested for beating a man, they treated me very well. cells are spacious and clean. Food was okay, but rice for 3 times is a bit boring. Handcuffs was a bit corroded, but it’s okay does the job right. The officers are very friendly. Overall, it was nice experience.”

The sarcastic review has now turned into a global meme. It gained wider attention after popular international content creator Project Nightfall featured the review in its content.
