Kathmandu. TechPana has upgraded its AI feature with a new chat-based interface, aiming to make news consumption more interactive and user-friendly.
The update transforms the earlier ‘AI Summary’ feature into a chatbot that appears at the bottom of every news article. Readers can now click on the ‘Ask TechPana AI about this article’ button to open a chat interface that provides an instant bullet-point summary along with additional interactive options.
Previously, the AI feature focused on summarizing articles and suggesting related content. However, due to limitations in identifying relevant connections and handling follow-up queries, the system has been redesigned to function as a conversational interface.
Within the chat, users can explore ‘View Recommended Articles’ to access related news, with the added ability to see how stories are connected. Options such as ‘What People Ask About This Article’ present commonly asked questions with AI-generated answers, allowing readers to engage with the content in a question-and-answer format.
Other features include ‘Read Full Article’for seamless navigation and ‘Articles You Might Be Interested In’, which recommends additional content based on relevance.
This move by Techpana comes as media platforms increasingly experiment with AI-driven tools to improve reader engagement and content discovery. TechPana said the current versions offer predefined prompts within the chat interface, with plans to allow users to ask their own questions in future updates.
