Bagmati Province Opens Applications for Innovative Research Proposals for Technology Development

Kathmandu. The Bagmati Province government has called for the first phase of idea concept proposals under its innovative research initiative aimed at promoting a technology-based economy and scientific innovation.

The Secretariat of the Science, Technology, Innovation, and Development Fund under the Ministry of Social Development issued a public notice on Friday inviting researchers and innovators to submit proposals by 8 June, 2026.

According to the fund, the initiative seeks to support innovative and result-oriented research in science and technology that can contribute to economic development and improve citizens’ quality of life through practical technological solutions.

Proposals can be submitted in areas including agriculture, environment, information technology, biotechnology, energy, engineering, and other related sectors. Interested applicants are required to send their proposals in the prescribed format through the fund’s official email address: [email protected].

The ministry stated that the Fund Secretariat will hold the final authority to approve or reject submitted proposals. Additional information can be obtained from the Fund Secretariat under the Ministry of Social Development, Bagmati Province.
