Yeshu Thakali Appointed Managing Director of Pathao Nepal

Kathmandu. Ride-hailing and digital services platform Pathao Nepal has appointed Yeshu Thakali as its new Managing Director following the resignation of Asheem Man Singh Basnyat.

Thakali has been associated with Pathao Nepal for the past eight years and was part of the core team during the company’s launch in Nepal in 2018. He also serves as Senior Vice President of the Pathao Group.

According to the company, Pathao Nepal aims to contribute to a tenfold expansion of Nepal’s digital economy over the next five years under Thakali’s leadership. The company is preparing to expand its infrastructure nationwide through parcel services while integrating parcel delivery, food delivery, e-commerce, mobility, and other digital services into a unified digital ecosystem.

Thakali initially joined the company in the finance department before later taking on broader responsibilities in management and operations.

“In the past two years, under Thakali’s leadership, Pathao has also built a strong market presence in Bangladesh. Services including Pathao bike, car, and auto-rickshaw have grown threefold there,” the company said.
