Sarvam AI Co-Founder Pratyush Kumar to Attend CTO Retreat 2026 in Nepal

 

Kathmandu. Dr. Pratyush Kumar, co-founder of Indian artificial intelligence company Sarvam AI, is set to visit Nepal to participate in CTO Retreat 2026, a technology leadership event organized by Fintech Alliance Nepal.

Founded in August 2023 by Pratyush Kumar and Vivek Raghavan, Sarvam AI is an India-based full-stack sovereign AI company focused on developing generative AI and foundational language models tailored to local languages and regional needs.

The company has developed AI models including Sarvam-30B and Sarvam-105B, which support 22 languages. Its product portfolio includes text-to-speech, speech-to-text, document digitization through Sarvam Vision, and translation services.

Backed by investors including Nvidia, HCLTech, and Lightspeed, Sarvam AI is reportedly moving toward unicorn status with an estimated valuation of USD 1.5 billion.

CTO Retreat in Chandragiri

Fintech Alliance Nepal is organizing CTO Retreat 2026 from June 12 to 14 at the Chandragiri Hills Resort in Kathmandu.

The three-day event is expected to bring together around 50 participants, including chief technology officers, chief executive officers, AI strategy leaders, and professionals working in banks, financial institutions, fintech companies, and digital transformation initiatives.

Dr. Kumar is scheduled to deliver a special session on the opening day of the retreat. His presentation will take place on June 12 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

The retreat will also feature sessions on technology, artificial intelligence, innovation, and leadership. Speakers include Manoj Ghimire, Saquib Hasnain, and Manish Agrawal.

On the second day, sessions will be conducted by Hira Dangol, Bishesh Khanal, Dileep Dhakal, and Bal Krishna Bal.

According to the organizers, participation fees have been set at Rs 50,000 per person for the general category, excluding VAT; Rs 40,000 for Fintech Alliance members; and Rs 85,000 for two participants from the same organization.
