Lalitpur. A 25-year-old woman was arrested in Lalitpur on Sunday after allegedly staging a fake murder scene during a video call as part of a prank video, prompting an emergency police response and causing public alarm, police said.
The arrested woman has been identified as Mandira Gurung, a resident of Phalewas-10, Parbat, who is currently living near United Colony in Changathali, Ward No. 7 of Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lalitpur.
According to the District Police Office, Lalitpur, the incident occurred at around 6:00 am on Sunday. Gurung made a video call to her friend, Susmita Jirel, during which she claimed to have killed her friend and showed what appeared to be a blood-soaked scene.
