Hamro Patro receives Australian remittance license

Kathmandu: Hamro Patro has received an official license under Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC), allowing it to provide remittance services in Australia. With this license, the process of sending money to Nepal for Nepalis living in Australia will become faster, safer, more transparent, and more affordable.

Now, through Hamro Patro Remit, money sent from Australia can be deposited directly into a Nepali bank account instantly. According to the company, this method also allows users to benefit from a high exchange rate.

Hamro Patro has expanded its remittance services to serve the growing Nepali community in Australia. To mark the launch of its service, the company has introduced a limited-time offer. Under this offer, the first 5,000 users sending remittances from Australia will receive a special exchange rate of 1 Australian dollar equal to 100 Nepali rupees when sending up to 100 Australian dollars.

This is considered the most favorable rate offered so far for Australia-Nepal remittances. It allows Nepali expatriates to access high-value services at low fees.

According to Sudina Gautam, Fintech Director at Hamro Patro, this service enables secure money transfers to Nepal with no hidden fees, competitive exchange rates, and trusted channels. Once users complete KYC verification and enter their bank details on Hamro Patro Remit, money can be sent with just a few clicks. This service is available on the Hamro Patro app or at remit.hamropatro.com/aus.
