Deepal’s New EV S05 to Launch in Nepal This Week, Charges 50% in 15 Minutes

Kathmandu. Deepal, known as a luxury EV brand, is set to launch its new SUV, the Deepal S05, in the Nepali market within the next few days. The company’s official dealer, MAW Vriddhi, plans to introduce the model this week, combining luxury, style, and advanced technology.

Following the success of the Deepal S07, the S05 aims to bring a more sophisticated SUV to the compact segment. The iF Design Award-winning model features a bold aerodynamic silhouette, frameless doors, and LED taillights inspired by star feeders.

According to the company, the S05 delivers a premium and luxurious feel as soon as you step inside. It offers a Queen Co-Pilot seat with Zero Gravity Comfort, ventilation, leg support, memory foam, and One-Touch Nap Mode, a first in Nepal. Both front seats are designed to feel welcoming, while a spacious 160-liter trunk, a 14-speaker outdoor surround sound system, and refined interior craftsmanship are said to make every journey more luxurious.

The S05 also introduces a remote in-and-out parking feature, not available in this segment, making parking easier even in tight spaces. It comes equipped with Advanced Driver Assistant (ADA) 2.0 and 19 safety features to boost driving confidence. An augmented reality head-up display projects essential information  including live navigation, traffic signals, and speed, directly onto the windshield for a safer and smarter driving experience.

For the first time, the S05 uses CATL’s Golden Shield Battery System 2.0, with a lifespan of 600,000 kilometers. It can charge from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes and offers superior cold-weather performance. The company says it is built to perform well in all geographical and climatic conditions of Nepal.

MAW expects the launch of the Deepal S05 to further strengthen the dominance established by the Deepal S07 in the Nepali EV market.
