Going on a Trek? Call 1155 to Check Weather Conditions Before Setting Out

Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged trekkers to remain cautious as heavy snowfall continues in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

The department has advised trekkers to call 1155 before setting out to check the latest weather conditions.

Similarly, the Nepal Mountaineering Association has appealed to climbing teams and trekkers to avoid high mountain areas and refrain from crossing passes due to ongoing snowfall.

The association has also urged all climbing teams and trekkers already in mountainous regions to move to safe locations.
