Online Application for Driving License Suspended Again for an Indefinite Period

Kathmandu: The application process for driving licenses has been suspended again. The online application system and the electronic driving license system have been shut down due to technical problems in the Department of Transport Management’s data center.

The department has announced that the service will remain suspended from Friday until further notice. During the Gen-Z agitation from 2 to 24 Bhadra, the Department of Transport Management’s office was completely destroyed by fire. The data center was damaged at that time, affecting all departmental services. After nearly two months, license-related services were partially resumed from 16 Kartik.

This time, the partially restored service has also been shut down before becoming fully operational.
