Nepal Telecom’s 4G Service Reaches 749 Local Levels, Only Four Rural Municipalities Remain

Kathmandu: Nepal Telecom’s 4G service has now reached 749 out of 753 local levels across the country. After expanding service to two more locations, only four rural municipalities remain without 4G coverage.
Except for Chharka Tangsong and Dolpo Buddha Rural Municipalities of Dolpa, She-Phoksundo Rural Municipality, and Narpa Bhumi Rural Municipality of Manang, 4G service is available in all local levels. Telecom has expanded 4G to remote and extremely remote areas of Karnali Province.
The company recently launched 4G service in Sarkegad-3 and 6 of Humla. Residents of Wards 2, 3, 4, and 6 of Sarkegad Rural Municipality are receiving quality 4G service for the first time. Service expansion areas include Unapani, Sialtadi, Barai Gaun, Thulachaur, Sadhekat, Ripa, Sarkedeu, and nearby settlements.
Telecom has also launched 4G service in Adanchuli-6 of Humla. Service recipients in Ward 2 of Sarkegad and Wards 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Adanchuli Rural Municipality are now connected. Coverage areas include Panchaur, Kalika, and surrounding villages.
The company has expanded 4G to Gurans, a tourist destination in Gurans Rural Municipality of Dailekh. Residents of Gurans Bazaar, the Rural Municipality Office area, Goganpani, Patikanla, and other villages in Wards 3, 4, and 5 now have access to 4G. Parts of Birendranagar-14 (Bayalkanda) and Barahatal-9 (Lekgaun) are also connected.
Telecom has launched 4G service in Kotrang of Junichande Rural Municipality, Jajarkot. Residents of Wards 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 will benefit from the expansion.
Additionally, settlements in Thuliveri Municipality and She-Phoksundo Rural Municipality in Dolpa have gained communication access. With the commissioning of a 4G tower at Midgti Lake in Ward 10, previously disconnected areas, such as the Phoksundo Trail and Yarsa Patan, are now connected.
The office of She-Phoksundo National Park in Suligad, the military barracks area, and major settlements along the Phoksundo Trail, including Chhepka, Bhokpa, and Sagbari, have also been linked to communication services.
