Prabhu Bank CEO Sherchan and Three Senior Officials Arrested on Banking Offence Charges

Kathmandu: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police has arrested three people, including Prabhu Bank CEO Ashok Sherchan, on charges of banking offences. A CIB team reached the bank’s central office in Bijulibajar on Sunday and took them into custody.
Those arrested include CEO Sherchan, Deputy CEO Maniram Pokharel, and Chief Credit Officer Ribas Shrestha. The police have said that an investigation has been launched against them for banking offences.
Bureau Chief and Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) Dr. Manoj Kumar KC confirmed the arrests. “We have arrested three people from the bank. Further investigation is underway regarding the allegations against them,” AIG KC told TechPana.
