Lumbini Technical University Opens Admissions for 192 Seats in Undergraduate Engineering and IT Programs

 

Kathmandu. The Institute of Engineering and Information Technology (IOE & IT) under Lumbini Technical University has opened applications for undergraduate admissions for the academic session 2083/84, inviting students to appear in entrance examinations for four technology-related programs, according to a notice issued on Tuesday.

The university has announced admissions for four programs: BTech in Civil Engineering, BTech in IT Engineering, BTech in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and BTech in IT, with 48 seats allocated in each program, totaling 192 seats.

According to the university, students who have completed Class 12, an engineering diploma, or an equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible to apply. Applicants must have secured at least 45 percent overall marks or a minimum “C” grade in each subject. For A-Level students, a minimum “D” grade or 45 percent marks is required.

Students awaiting Class 12 results are also eligible to apply, provided they submit their passing certificate at the time of enrollment.

The application window for the regular fee has been set from June 16, 2026 to July 18, 2026, while applications with a late fee will be accepted from July 19 to July 28.

The application fee is set at Rs 1,500 for IT programs and Rs 2,000 for engineering programs under the regular period. During the late application period, the fee will be Rs 2,500 for IT and Rs 3,000 for engineering. Applicants applying for multiple programs will be required to pay an additional Rs 500 per extra program.

Interested candidates can apply through the university’s official portal at entrance.ltu.edu.np. The university said the schedule for the entrance examinations will be announced in a later notice.
