Yamabuddha’s Father Says His Photo Was Misused In News About Balen’s Father’s Death: This Is Very Sad

Kathmandu: Ambika Prasad Adhikari, father of the late rapper Anil Adhikari (Yamabuddha), has expressed sadness over the misuse of his photo. Several online media outlets and social media pages, including Online Khabar and Setopati, used his photo in news reports about the death of Balen Shah’s father, Dr. Ram Narayan Shah.

Adhikari expressed his objection on social media. “Our attention has been drawn to today’s news regarding the passing of Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah’s father and the photo used. It is very sad that a journalist who claims responsibility for the tragic situation of some people is misusing his photo in this manner,” he said.

He also raised concern that false, misleading, and biased news, when the media should provide accurate and impartial information, can create public confusion and lead to serious incidents. “Therefore, I urge all concerned to correct this news and not repeat this mistake with the public,” he added.
