NAIMA Supports Department Of Transport Management And Traffic Police Offices Damaged During Gen-Z Protest

Kathmandu: The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has provided emergency assistance to government offices damaged during the Gen-Z protest held on September 8 and 9. NAIMA formally handed over reconstruction support and office equipment to the Department of Transport Management and the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office on Tuesday.

A NAIMA team led by President Ritu Singh Vaidya, Board Member Yamuna Shrestha, and Executive Director Rajkumar Dulal handed over the assistance to the heads of the respective offices.

As part of the support, NAIMA reconstructed all damaged windows and doors of the main building of the Department of Transport Management at Min Bhawan. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office received essential furniture, furnishing materials, and technical equipment, including computers and printers, according to Executive Director Dulal.

Speaking at the handover program, Director General of the Department of Transport Management Rajiv Pokharel said the support helped the department resume services from its own premises during a crisis. Similarly, Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office Chief and Senior Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Adhikari described NAIMA as a reliable partner in traffic education and management, and appreciated the timely assistance.

NAIMA President Ritu Singh Vaidya said cooperation with public service delivery agencies is a core working principle of the association. She said NAIMA will continue such partnerships in the future.

The physical infrastructure and equipment of both offices were severely damaged during the agitation.
