Kathmandu: Veel, a video marketing platform that connects content creators and brands, has opened its office in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu. The company, which has operated from the US since 2022, inaugurated its Nepal office on Tuesday with IT entrepreneur Dileep Dhakal leading the event.
The inauguration was attended by US Ambassador to Nepal Dean R. Thompson. Speaking at the event, Ambassador Thompson called Veel a strong example of US-Nepal technology collaboration. “It illustrates how US companies are finding meaningful opportunities in Nepal, contributing to private sector growth, and increasing global creator productivity,” he said.
Thompson added that he looks forward to further strengthening cross-border innovation and creating new opportunities for both countries. The company’s team in San Francisco joined the event virtually.

Dhakal, founder and CEO of Veel, highlighted the need for modern tools to help creators and brands work efficiently. “With this expansion, we are unifying scattered work into one intelligent and scalable system,” he said. “This allows teams to focus on storytelling and creativity while reducing operational hassles.”
Alongside the office launch, Veel announced a new web app and an AI-powered mobile app. The platform offers four main features: ‘Creator Campaign’, ‘Video Reviews’, ‘Video SEO’, and ‘Video Editing’.
‘Creator Campaign’ will manage influencer video campaigns, payment processing, and real-time analytics from a single dashboard. ‘Video Reviews’ will consolidate user feedback from multiple digital platforms.
The ‘Video SEO’ feature acts as a discovery engine, enabling searches for specific scenes or dialogues within videos to increase reach across platforms. The AI-enabled mobile app offers video editing, storage, and wallet payout functions.

The updated web app is available immediately, while the mobile app and other features will be released in phases. The platform is scheduled for full launch on December 15 and aims to simplify collaboration among brands, agencies, and creators.
Creators can earn money through the platform in countries with streamlined international payment systems. In Nepal, limited payment options have created uncertainty regarding earnings.
Addressing this, CEO Dhakal said, “We currently face payment challenges in Nepal. For now, creators can use all features for free, but income generation is not included. We are exploring ways to integrate payments for Nepali content creators.”
