Speaking at the AI Impact Summit, Chaudhary again envisioned Nepal as India's ‘natural partner.’ He mentioned that Nepal’s Information Technology (IT) ecosystem is advancing rapidly and that Nepali youth possess world-class technological capabilities.
“Nepal has talent. Now that talent must be focused on AI research and developing our own original models,” announced Chaudhary. He stated that while developing countries are primarily focusing on AI in the gaming and automobile sectors, South Asian countries must have different priorities.
He emphasized the use of AI in the agriculture, health, and education sectors to bring technology to the people of the most disadvantaged sections of society. “The future of AI is the future of the people,” he announced.
Stating that present youth, especially Gen Z, are more focused on result-oriented and digital mediums, Chaudhary believes AI can be a great medium to fulfill their aspirations. He suggests that Nepal should now invest extensively in research and development and move towards developing its own AI solutions.
Currently, with Nepal becoming the ‘technology backend' for many Western companies, there is immense potential for great partnerships in the AI space in the future. Speaking at the AI Impact Summit, Chaudhary indicated that his group, CG Corp, plans to expand its investment and collaboration in the AI sector in the future. He has also kept open the possibility of partnering with some AI companies in India.
